EASTER SERVICES AT FBW

Join us to celebrate Easter at FBW!
Friday, April 2 - Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m. Child care provided for infants through 5 year olds.
Sunday, April 4 - Easter Services at: 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Child care will be provided for infants through 4th grade. Simultaneous Spanish translation will be provided for both dates.

TEACHER APPRECIATION MEETING

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 10-14.
The next teacher appreciation planning meeting will take place Wednesday, April 7th at 8:30 a.m. in room 102. Please join us as we make plans for this exciting week!

WCA PARENT MEETING UPDATE

BOYS BASKETBALL AT THE AA ARENA

The WCA Boys Basketball Team will be playing at the American Airlines Arena (home of the Miami Heat) on Friday, April 9th at 1:00 pm. Tickets for the WCA Boys Basketball game will allow you to watch the game in the 100 section, watch the Miami Heat warm-up, and admission into the Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons game that will be played at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are available for $10, $20, and $50. The $10 tickets will allow you entrance into the 400 level of the arena in section 405 or 406. The $20 tickets will allow you entrance into the 300 level of the arena in sections 305, 306, or 307. The $50 tickets will allow you entrance into the 100 level of the arena in section 114. Make all checks payable to the Miami Heat. The deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday, April 6th.

Mark your calendars!
Plan to attend the Alma Jewelry show and the book signing of Author Linda Ogden Eplin as she will be signing her cookbook "The Cooking Queen" on Friday, April 16th. Start thinking about your Mother's Day lists. These items will make great gifts! All proceed from the sale will benefit WCA.

WCA EAGLE CLASSIC

We are please to announce that the WCA Eagle Classic will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Weston Hills Country Club.

NEW MISSIONS PROGRAM

As part of Weston Christian Academy, your sons and daughters are being developed into "fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ" and in so doing developing a heart to serve. WCA strives to find new and impactful ways to shape this spiritual growth. As such a committee is being formed to look at missions opportunities in the area and build a missions program that will be relevant, impactful, and appropriate for each of our ten grade levels. MOM'S BIBLE STUDY

The WCA Mom's Bible study is doing Beth Moore's newest study on the book of Revelation. Moms meet every Friday in Room 102 at 9:30 a.m. No previous Bible study experience necessary. For more information please call Mrs. Wendy Urbanek at 954-349-3198.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

All parents are urged to follow procedures for arrival and dismissal as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook (pages 20-21). This includes entering by the Three Village Road entrance only and allowing Safety Patrol to deliver your child to and from the car.

DON'T FORGET

  • Dismissal time every Wednesday is 1:50. Those students not picked up by 2:05 p.m. will be checked in to Extended Care or Study Hall and charged accordingly.
  • Spirit Shirts may be worn on Fridays only.
  • Turn in your Enrollment Verification Report as soon as possible. This information is required for all students and is vitally important. If you are not sure if you completed one, please call the Administration Office.
  • Turn in your Parent/Student Handbook Covenant Agreement from your Parent/Student Handbook signed by both parents and students.
  • Turn in your Annual Field Trip Release/Emergency Medical Form as soon as possible. Students will not be permitted to participate in any field trip during the course of the year without this form on file.
