8th Annual Charity Dinner & Auction

Dear Friend of Weston Christian Academy,

It is time for Weston Christian Academy’s 8th Annual Charity Dinner & Auction. Our Annual Charity Dinner & Auction will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009. WCA is known for excellence in academic, character, and spiritual development of its students. This event is the main fundraiser for the school year to further advance the mission of our school.

It is wonderful to learn from a young age the value of service and giving to the poor. At WCA, our students are bright and work to serve and make an impact in the community and abroad. Service projects include food and clothing drives for Cuba Hurricane Relief, Living Water Care Center, Sheridan House, Seafarer's House, Tanna Dawson Community Center, Neva King Cooper School in Miami Dade, and local nursing homes. In addition, students have collected supplies for children in Haiti, helped support needy families in Venezuela, and travel to the Dominican Republic to minister to poor families. The school has received recognition for outstanding ministry work in South Florida.

Last year’s auction far surpassed our expectations and we hope to do the same this year, with your help. With monies raised from past events, some of the items purchased include a new math and reading curriculum, mimeo boards, computers, interactive responders, and other high-technology equipment to further advance teaching excellence. Your donation also helps to ensure students can continue to serve their community and the world.

Please consider making a donation to help us achieve our 2009 educational goals. We would greatly appreciate your support in the form of an item or gift certificate representing your business to feature in a package or basket arrangement. Your generosity will be acknowledged appropriately at the event. If you are donating an item with an expiration date, such as gift certificates, please keep our event date in mind.

As always we strongly encourage our families & friends to support the businesses that have so graciously supported us. With your help, this can again be a successful auction for Weston Christian Academy.
