Dear WCA Family,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer. As faculty and staff are busy planning and preparing for the 2011-2012 school year, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We had a great 2010-2011 school year and I am excited and encouraged by what God is doing at WCA. We are training the next generation of Christian leaders in academics, the arts, athletics, and all activities. I am thankful that you are part of the WCA family.

I hope this Summer Information Packet is helpful as you make preparations for the new school year. If you see something that you don’t understand or need additional information, please contact the school office at (954) 349-9224. We will be glad to assist you.

As I write this letter, the new outdoor playground is almost completed, the library is being refurbished, and rooms are being painted. We want the school to be in great condition when all the students arrive on the first day of school.

W request that you attend WCA’s Orientation for all pre-school, elementary, and middle school families on August 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. The Orientation will provide parents with an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher as you prepare for the new school year. Also, on the first day of school, August 22 at 9:00 a.m. in the Worship Center, we will be having an opening day school convocation as we dedicate the new school year to the Lord.  Middle School Course Catalog

This guide is provided to help students and parents understand the course requirements for WCA Middle School students and to make the best choices possible regarding Fine Arts and elective courses. We encourage you to read this carefully and spend time together in prayer as you make your choices for the new school year.

WCA provides a Christ-centered environment, which will enable our students to flourish in their academic endeavors, development of talents, and Christian walk as intended by God. The academic program at WCA is designed to promote the development of knowledge, wisdom, and critical thinking skills. Strong academics, taught from a Biblical perspective and worldview, will provide students with the competence and inner strength necessary for future success. Providing a strong academic program and Biblically based worldview training will build the foundation that Paul refers to in Colossians 2:6-8. In order to develop students who are not only fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, but are also spiritual leaders, all students take a daily Bible class that provides spiritual development.
