WCA’s curriculum comes to life on trips that are planned and led by our faculty. On average, students participate in two academic and two ministry field trips each year. Several of the larger trips include:
- Each spring, 4th grade students spend a few days in St. Augustine, Florida making their Florida History class come alive.
- Fifth grade students spend a few days at Sea Camp in the Florida Keys. Students are able to discover for themselves the fascinating world beneath the ocean’s surface and delicate relationships of marine organisms.
- Sixth and Seventh grade students spend a week at Teen Valley Ranch (TVR), a Christian camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina.
- To culminate their years at WCA, 8th grade students go on a weeklong mission’s trip to the Dominican Republic.
In the fall of each year, middle school students also participate in a leadership conference through Student Leadership University.
